A Melya is a coffee drink that combines cocoa powder and honey to produce a simple to make a rich fruity coffee drink. The mixture of cocoa powder and honey transforms the espresso into a whole new experience.
- 3 ounces of espresso.
- 1 tsp. honey
- 1 tsp. unsweetened cocoa powder.
- (Optional) whipped cream.
- Make 3 ounces of espresso. Keep separate.
- Add 1 teaspoon of cocoa powder.
- Drizzle 1 teaspoon of honey into the cup and let sit for a few moments to let the cocoa powder absorb the honey.
- Stir mixture.
- Pour espresso over the mixture.
- (Optional) add whipped cream.
