This is a good drink for someone that enjoys a strong full bodied coffee but not with the full strength of standard espresso. A regular Macchiato does not have the hot water.
- Heat water to just the boiling point. If possible, you can also retrieve hot water from the espresso machine. The key is that the water should not be too hot to drink. When done, pour 3 ounces of water into a medium sized cup.
- Make 3 ounces of espresso and pour directly on top.
- Foam a small amount of milk. When done, put about 1 tbsp. of the foam milk on top.
